1. You asked for it! Each year on our race surveys we are asked to have a beautiful award designed to commemorate the runner experience at Biltmore Estate. For the 20th running edition of the event we are offering a one-of-a-kind, special edition finisher award for both 5k and 15k runners. Finisher awards can be purchased thru online registration until March 31st. Awards will be handed out to finishers that have pre-purchased at both awards ceremonies.
2. Course certification - Due to the construction on the estate over the past several years, the mile markers have been moved and need updated. For 2017, we will have updated re-certified 15k and 5k courses. You will get the same views and same courses, just more accurate mile markers on race day!
3. May is a busy time of year in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We have secured a limited number of hotel rooms for our participants on a first-come-first serve basis at DoubleTree Hotel in Biltmore Forest. Click HERE to reserve your room today!

2017 ROYAL TRIFECTA CHALLENGE
With a trinity of exquisite races at the Biltmore Estate on our 2017 calendar, we thought we would take your Biltmore experience one step further by offering yet another test of will! If you can manage to finish all three of our 2017 races at the Biltmore, you will be able to lay claim to the prizes that lie in wait for those with the grit to complete our challenge.
To complete THE ROYAL TRIFECTA CHALLENGE, runners must successfully register for AND complete these three of these 2017 Biltmore races:
The Asheville Marathon OR Half on March 11 + 12th, 2017
The Biltmore/Kiwanis Classic 15k OR 5k race on May 21st, 2017
The Asheville Off Road Series which includes, the Asheville Duathlon, 10k Off-Road Run, OR Gravel Grinder Bike Events on September 10th, 2017
Those who successfully accomplish the task will receive their reward at the close of the events at the Asheville Off Road Series on September 10th, 2017. Finishers will receive a special ‘ROYAL TRIFECTA CHALLENGE MEDAL’ and other royal prizes! If you can “Du the Du” 10k, or grind some gravel, go the distance in the marathon or half, and lay down a classic performance at the Kiwanis race, all that separates you from some sweet prizes are the distances that make up our Biltmore Estate races and the manpower (or womanpower) needed to cover them.

In case you were curious..We will not have any ‘spooky’ surprises out on the course. You are already running through the woods after dark and we think that is frightening enough 🙂 There will be plenty of volunteers and signs out on the course to help you find you way!

We are so excited that you will be joining us for the 3rd Annual Transylvania Adventure Games! TAG is designed to get your heart pumping, your body moving, and your brain working…leaving you with a smile on your face!
This event is designed for all ages, young and old so bring the whole family!
TAG will also host vendors, food, face painting, live music, and other performances.
Oskar Blues Chub Wagon will be serving food and drinks so make sure to bring some cash with you.
2016 Event Details & Schedule
Location: Brevard Music Center– 349 Andante Ln, Brevard, NC 28712
Parking: Plenty of parking will be available at the Brevard Music Center behind the main auditorium. Look to follow signs and Parking attendant instructions.
8am-Registration & packet pick up begins
9:15am- Competitive Timed Obstacle Course registration & packet pickup closes
9:30am–10am: Competitive Timed Obstacle Course Participants begin in waves
9:45am Non-Competitive Untimed Obstacle registration & packet pickup closes
10am–10:30am Non-Competitive Untimed Obstacle Participants begin in waves
10:15am-Mini Obstacle Course is open!
10am-Food trucks/vendors open
10am-Live entertainment begins
11:30am- Mini Obstacle Course registration ends
12pm- Awards ceremony for Competitive Timed Obstacle Course
Both the Main Obstacle Course and the Mini Obstacle Course will consist of over a dozen crazy obstacles and challenges, both physical and mental. There will be tunnels, rope webs, memory tests, a maze to navigate, canoes, walls to climb, beam walks and more surprises!
Expect to get a little messy! Make sure to bring an extra change of clothes with you. We also recommend bringing a swimsuit with you.
There are still spots left! Bring your friends. There is a 20% discount when you register 3 or more participants at the same time.

End of Year Celebration/Awards
Thursday, September 29th @ Highland Brewing Company 6:30pm
We will be holding an end of series party and awards ceremony on Thursday, September 29th @ Highland Brewing Company starting at 6:30pm where we will be giving out awards to our series award winners! You must be present to claim your awards. We have some pretty sweet stuff to give out, so don’t miss!
