Hurricane Helene Update

Hurricane Helene has significantly impacted our community in Western North Carolina. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.

The aftermath is tough, with roadways washed away, trees down, and power lines damaged. Many areas remain flooded, and essentials like water, food, and electricity are scarce as we await FEMA assistance.

Despite these challenges, our community remains resilient and united in recovery efforts. We are committed to keeping you informed as fast as we can and we work through this together.

Event Updates as of Wednesday, October 2, 2024

  • TreeTops Race: Initially rescheduled for Saturday, it will now be postponed to November due to forest and road damage. We aim to confirm a date sometime in the next day or so with Dupont officials.
  •  Black Bear Half Marathon and 8k (Oct 13th): Due to ongoing recovery efforts in Hendersonville, NC, this event will be moved to a future date. We’re coordinating with local authorities and hope to confirm a date shortly.
  •  Trick or Trail Races (Oct 26th): No major changes anticipated for this event.
  • November Events and Beyond: We are adaptable, ready to change routes or venues as needed, always prioritizing safety and quality experiences.

Our team is experiencing sporadic and widespread wi-fi and phone service, which may delay responses to emails and messages. Your patience and understanding mean the world to us. We’ll continue to provide updates and look forward to gathering as a community when it's safe to do so.

Warmly,
The iDaph Events Team
