This is a short walk to the race hub at Pack Square Park. Runners are welcome to hang out in the hotel lobby before the race. Restrooms will also be available.

  • Race Merchandise will be available for purchase at packet pickup on race day. Pre-order yours now HERE.
  • Participants must register online HERE before arrival at packet pickup.

PARKING

NO PARKING is available at the Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown! 

Parking is available at nearby parking garages. You can also find metered street parking. The College Street and Rankin Avenue garages are the closest in proximity to the start line. Please click HERE for directions and real-time availability.

  • Both races start and finish in Pack Square Park in Downtown Asheville, NC at 10:00am. The race start is on Spruce Street and the finish line is adjacent to Pack Square Park and Packs Tavern.
  • Competitors looking to win overall or in their age group should line up at the front of the starting line as overall winner times are based on gun-time and age group participant times are based on chip-time.
  • Your race number MUST be visible on the front!
  • It is up to you to know the course and follow the course markings and signs along the route. It will be clearly marked with colored route arrows on the sidewalks and roads, spray paint, tall directional signs and yard signs with arrows. In addition, volunteers, security personnel and police officers will be on the course. Please stay on the sidewalks when they are available to you. If there is not a sidewalk, please run facing traffic on the left side of the road. Do not run in the middle of the road.
  • 5k Participants: You will split from the 10k runners at mile 1.7 (at the water station). Watch for signage and course markings.
  • 10k Participants: If you are participating in the 10k race, you will split from the 5k course at the 1.7 mile mark (at the water station) and continue straight ahead onto Kimberly Ave. This course split from the 5k race is at the intersection of Evelyn Pl, Kimberly Ave, and Edwin Pl.
  • The first water station will be located at the Kimberly Avenue/Evelyn Place/Edwin Place intersection. 5k and 10k runners will pass this station at mile 1.7. 10k runners will utilize this water station 2x. A second water station will be located at the top of Griffing Circle/Blackwood area and will be utilized 2x by 10k participants.
  • To switch from the 10k to the 5k or vice versa please email support@idaph.net in advance or stop by packet pickup prior to the start of the race.

Awards

The award ceremony will be held after the race at approximately 11:00am, on the stage in Pack Square Park.

Beginning with the 2026 New Year’s Resolution Run, we’re introducing something NEW for all of our 2026 races: Break the course record (male or female) and you’ll take home $100. Consider it a fresh start to the new year — and a rewarding one!

This is in addition to the CASH prizes for the 10k for the overall top three male and female winners!

2nd place - $75
3rd place - $50

*You must be present at the Award Ceremony to accept your cash prize!

Don’t forget to grab your shiny new Holiday Hustle spinning medal during the ceremony  on the stage — a festive moment to celebrate completing the South Asheville Turkey Trot, Ugly Sweater Run and the Resolution Run, all presented by Hunter Subaru!

POST RACE

Rehydrate with bottled water, courtesy of Movement Bank.

Least of These Asheville

LOT Asheville is a homeless ministry founded by a Montreat College student in 2005. They serve breakfast and give out snack sacks to the homeless community of Asheville every Saturday morning in downtown, regardless of the weather! As a nonprofit, they run with the support of volunteers and donations! If you missed it during registration, please donate through their fundraising page.

DONATE

In addition to monetary donations, we are also collecting winter accessories to keep the homeless warm throughout the winter months. If you'd like to help, please bring your donations to packet pickup at Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown (309 College St, Asheville, NC 28801), Wednesday, December 31st from 1:00 - 3:00pm and drop them in the collection bin, or bring them on race day and drop them at their tent after the race!
