The 9th Annual Asheville Off-Road Series is back
for 2021!


This year, the Asheville Off Road Series presented by Hunter Subaru is held at the awesome venue - Ride Kanuga located near Asheville in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Join us for an amazing day of cycling, running, or both on Sunday, September 19, 2021!


The AORS (Asheville Off Road Series) consists of three main events: Asheville Duathlon, Trail Run, and Gravel Grinder Bike events. Each of these events gives a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts the ability to explore either by foot or by two wheels the Western North Carolina trails, gravel roads and scenic country paved roads.

This is a hugely popular event each year, so we suggest you register as soon as you can! Because of limited parking availability, this event is limited to 300 participants.

2015 Biltmore Classic

The Biltmore/Kiwanis Classic is coming up in ONE month! Registration is filling up, so don’t miss out on your spot! Sunday, May 17th, 2015 is the date to put in your calendar. This race has been held annually since 1997. A gala of speed and stamina, the Biltmore/Kiwanis Classic will be run in America’s Largest Backyard in a time that flowers are in full bloom. Truly a magnificent course, and proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Children’s Charities!

The race is capped to the first 1,100 entrants. Early registration is encouraged as we expect this event to sell out early again this year! All participants will receive a specially designed commemorative race t-shirt. Additional information is available online at the race website: biltmorekiwanisclassicrace.com.

2014 BKC Gals at finishThe 15K begins at the Winery, climbs to Deerpark Restaurant.  Following is an undulating descent and rise along the main road to Biltmore House, where runners will loop in front of the massive main entrance doors. Next, runners will enter the Walled Garden, pass by the Azalea Garden and lagoon along the French Broad River, and then kick to the finish on their return to the Winery. The first half of the course has a challenging duo of hills, while the fast final half covers downhill to flat terrain. The 5K course will be a flat, out and back course starting at the Winery and paralleling the French Broad River where a hard pace can be set from gun to tape.

The race will directly benefit a great local organization dedicated to meeting the needs of our surrounding community. Competing in this event you will be helping fund the efforts of Kiwanis Children’s Charities in their efforts to support local youth programs. Among these, our Asheville Chapter Kiwanis Club provides book bags filled with school supplies each fall to children in need to set them off right for the new school year. Promoting attendance and punctuality in local elementary schools, the club also gives away a bicycle each quarter Biltmore Kiwanis Awardthrough a drawing to children with perfect attendance and punctuality.
