The 6th Annual LPC Throwback Triathlon is the perfect event in which to challenge one’s self, regardless of competition experience or athletic prowess. It features a 200 yard pool swim, a 17.5 mile bike on quiet country roads, and a rolling 5k run with an on-track finale in which to summon your mighty kick to the tape!
Both individuals and relay teams are encouraged to join in, and you don’t have to be a three-sport athlete to participate. In the LPC Triathlon Team Competition, you can opt for the sport of your choosing, and just swim, bike, or run as part of a team. While LPC events are timed, and your results will be made available after the event, we emphasize participation over competition. The Kid’s Splash N’ Dash courses mean even budding athletes can participate in the throwback thrills without adults towering overhead!
The LPC Kid’s Splash N’ Dash, is designed to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for the youth in the Carolinas and to introduce them to multi-sport events. This event will consist of various distances in the sport of aquathlon (swim/run) for three divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Run for the Paws is the only 5K in Western North Carolina where dogs aren’t just allowed, they’re invited! Join hundreds of animal lovers and their four-legged friends as we run and walk to raise money for pets in need.
We’re excited to be at Carrier Park in Asheville for the 7th Annual Run for the Paws event! Participants can choose to compete in the chip-timed 5K or stroll in the one mile walk. Afterwards, relax with us and enjoy the afternoon on the Carrier Park lawn with food vendors, music and fun activities.
All proceeds raised from the Run for the Paws event goes directly to the life-saving programs run by Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.

Join us for the 20th anniversary edition of the Biltmore 15k/5k Classic Races!
*New for 2017*
1. You asked for it! Each year on our race surveys we are asked to have a beautiful award designed to commemorate the runner experience at Biltmore Estate. For the 20th running edition of the event we are offering a one-of-a-kind, special edition finisher award for both 5k and 15k runners. Finisher awards can be purchased thru online registration until March 31st. Awards will be handed out to finishers that have pre-purchased at both awards ceremonies.
2. Course certification - Due to the construction on the estate over the past several years, the mile markers have been moved and need updated. For 2017, we will have updated re-certified 15k and 5k courses. You will get the same views and same courses, just more accurate mile markers on race day!
3. May is a busy time of year in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We have secured a limited number of hotel rooms for our participants on a first-come-first serve basis at DoubleTree Hotel in Biltmore Forest. Click HERE to reserve your room today!
