The Biltmore Park Turkey Trot results are in!

The Biltmore Park Turkey Trot results are in!

Thank you to all the participants that came out to the 2nd Annual Biltmore Park Turkey Trot! We had 1100 people register for the race today, which is more than double our numbers from last year!

Congratulations to our Overall Male and Female winners along with all the finishers today!

A huge thank you to Biltmore Park Town Square for all of their support and assistance, and for having such an amazing venue! Also thank you Sheep Dog Impact Assistance WNC - you were all super helpful during the event. We also  loved the coffee by Bare Bones Brew Haus, and the turkey prizes from Luella’s Bar-B-Que South Asheville were a hit! Thank you The Fresh Market for donating all of our swag bags and gift baskets, and Ingles for providing snacks and food. Check out these amazing race photos by Bren Photography. Western Carolina Mountain Heritage Day 5k

Western Carolina Mountain Heritage Day 5k

Western Carolina University’s Sport Management Association invites you to the 10th annual Mountain Heritage Day 5K. This is a family-friendly, chip-timed race for both runners and walkers. The undulating course features a combination of pavement and gravel paths and is appropriate for both beginner and accomplished runners. Participants will dash through WCU’s rolling campus past iconic landmarks, including the ‘Catafount’ water fountain and Alumni Tower. Come enjoy a fun way to stay active while experiencing Western Carolina University’s beautiful campus! All proceeds from the 5k race support the Cory David Spaugh Sport Management Association Scholarship Fund.

After the race, take a short stroll or shuttle ride over to the vibrant Mountain Heritage Day festival and celebrate Southern Appalachian mountain culture through live musical performances and demonstrations, food and craft vendors, and a variety of family-friendly activities. Admission to the festival is free!
