    The Course

    SWIM
The swim route is at the Patton Park pool. This pristine, 50-meter heated pool is operated by YMCA of Western North Carolina. Swimmers start by jumping into the deep section of the pool, swimming down the first lane, then under the swim lane into the next lane. They will continue to swim down each lane in one direction by traversing through the pool. Swimmers will exit on the opposite side of the pool to run out to transition. We expect swimmers to start with a large enough gap of time to eliminate contact between each other.

    BIKE
The 12.5-mile bike course winds through neighborhoods and countryside roads in Henderson County. There is a total of 1,026 feet of elevation change throughout the route. It is a challenging ride but very approachable. There is a small section of gravel along a small portion of the course. All riders must wear helmets in accordance with North Carolina laws. Failure to wear a helmet will result in an automatic DQ.

    RUN
The 5k run is fast and for the mostly flat. There is one moderate hill that you will crest before entering back to the park. The entire 5k run is on the quiet, shaded and beautiful Oklahawa Greenway in the City of Hendersonville. It is paved and well-marked with arrows and signs at intersections. There will be a single water station that runners will pass twice along the 5K route.
