In collaboration with Pardee Hospital Foundation and Hunter Subaru, we are thrilled to present the She Slays 5K. This event is all about celebrating the strength, courage, and fierce determination of women fighting cancer. Whether you walk or run, you're making a difference for those who are in the midst of this battle. This event aims to empower people to take charge of their health and well-being, while also raising funds for Hendersonville women who are fighting cancer.

While this event supports women with cancer, everyone is welcome to register to participate!

let's Show Them Some Love

She Slays was created to celebrate the strength and resilience of women battling cancer. By participating, you become a beacon of hope, a symbol of solidarity, and a source of inspiration for those facing their toughest battles.

Proceeds from this event will support local women in Hendersonville, North Carolina, who are fighting cancer. We want to give these strong women the support and encouragement they need to keep pushing forward.

All participants who register by Sunday, March 24th at midnight will receive a free commemorative, She Slays race shirt, and the first 350 to register will also receive a custom, She Slays finisher Medal. If you register after the deadline, you will receive a finisher medal and shirts will be available in limited sizes and quantities for $20.

Honor a loved one

Purchase a yard sign in memory of or to honor someone who either lost their battle with cancer or is currently in the midst of their battle. The sign will feature their name and the color of the ribbon that represents their type of cancer. The sign will be publicly displayed on the course along 'Memory Mile.'

If you're joining us for the race, you can select this option during your registration. If you don't plan to participate in the event, simply click the 'Register' button and select the 'In Memory of' sub-event. The deadline to purchase your sign is March 30th at midnight. Proceeds benefit the Pardee Hospital Foundation.

Your sign (and shirt, if you choose to purchase one) can be picked up at the Pardee Hospital Foundation offices (561 Fleming St, Hendersonville, NC 28739) Monday after the race from 9am - 5pm.

The Course

The 5K course will start and finish at the Pardee Cancer Center in Hendersonville, NC. Participants will traverse a picturesque route, meandering along historic streets that wind through the inviting neighborhoods of this community. This is a professionally chip-timed race with awards and prizes for top finishers.

This race is a celebration of the human spirit, where the emphasis goes beyond finish times and embodies the courage it takes to rise in the face of a challenge. Whether you run fast or walk slow, it’s about demonstrating strength and determination throughout the journey.

All event details can be found on our registration page. Simply click "register" on this page and you will be taken to Race Roster, our registration partner.

Once you register, we will remind you about important details prior to the race. We send an email and text message the week before the event. It will contain a link to our interactive event guide that has everything you need to know in one place.

Stroller friendly? No problem! This event is stroller friendly, but we do ask that if you’re not in it to win it, please start towards the back of the pack for the safety of all the participants. However, if you’re a competitive parent-child duo, and plan to be out front the entire race to win overall, feel free to start up front and show us what you’ve got!

Dogs allowed? Furry friends are family too! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to participate with their owner.

Did you register to participate in person but can’t make it on race day? You don’t have to miss out! You can transfer your registration to the virtual event at any point before the start of the race. In the virtual event, you’ll run anywhere you like, post your results, and have your swag mailed to you after the event.

TRANSFERS: All participants can transfer into the virtual version of their event up until the start of the event. Send a message to support@idaph.net to request the transfer. There will be no refunds for the price difference between events. Transfers that occur within seven days of the event will cost $10.

Transfers between participants are prohibited. Participants who run with another runner's bib will be automatically disqualified and bandits will be banned from future iDaph events.

REFUNDS: We have a small, but mighty team that is working on all the details to produce this event safely for you and everyone in our community in attendance. We are incurring the expenses for production well before the day of the event, and we will not be able to provide a refund to you should you want to cancel your registration, or if the event itself has to be canceled due to a change in the status of the pandemic, weather, an act of god, or other unforeseen circumstance.

CANCELLATION: In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, such as an emergency, an act of god, not receiving approval of final event permits or a change in public health guidelines that results in the inability to have an in-person event, we reserve the right to cancel the event and automatically convert all in-person registrations to the virtual option. Should this occur, your swag will be mailed to you free of charge.

DEFERRALS: We do not allow deferrals from race to race. If you're unable to make it on race day, you may switch to the virtual option.
