Packet Pickup
Location: Kanuga Conference Center

Pre-event Packet Pickup
Saturday, August 8th
3:30pm - 5:00pm
Pickup will end promptly at 5:00pm
- Check your race goody bag for discounts from Ride Kanuga and Chick-fil-A Hendersonville
- Race Merchandise will be available for purchase. Pre-order yours HERE and we'll have it ready for you at packet pickup.
- Participants must register online HERE before arrival at packet pickup.
PARKING
Please park in the Pinky Elliot Parking Lot and walk to packet pickup in the lower level of the Inn. Watch for directional signage to guide you to the packet pickup area.
Parking at the Pinky Elliot Parking Lot helps keep the Inn parking area available for guests and Kanuga Triathlon athletes preparing for race morning. The walk from the parking lot to the Inn is short and well marked. VIEW MAP

Course Cutoff: 6:45pm

Restrooms
Portable restrooms will be available in the Inn parking lot for all participants and spectators. Please plan accordingly and allow yourself plenty of time before the race start.
COURSE
The 5K course showcases the variety and character of Kanuga’s trail system. Runners will experience a blend of smooth single-track, wider trail sections, forest roads and paved sections, creating a dynamic but accessible trail race. The course is designed to feel welcoming to road runners trying trail running for the first time, while remaining engaging and interesting for experienced trail runners.
Course features:
- Single-loop course
- Mix of single-track and double-track trail, forest road, and paved sections
- Gentle elevation gain and loss
- Scenic, shaded, and approachable
Water Station
A water station will be available twice along the course, at approximately Mile 1.5 and again at Mile 2.8. Water and Gatorade will be provided at both locations.
Dog friendly? Dogs are not permitted due to trail congestion and safety considerations
- Follow course markings and race signs with arrows. It's up to each runner to know the route.
- Have your race number visible on the front, on your outer layer of clothing!
Awards
The awards ceremony will take place at 7:00pm at the Lakeside Chapel, one of Kanuga's most picturesque locations overlooking the lake.
We hope you'll join us as we celebrate the day's accomplishments and recognize our top finishers in this beautiful lakeside setting.

POST RACE
After the race, we hope you'll stick around and enjoy the evening with us around the bonfire!
All participants will receive complimentary water and a few post-race snacks at the finish line.
If you're looking for something more, Kanuga will have hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, ice cream, smores (for around the bonfire) and other food available for purchase. A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with sports drinks, will also be available.
Food and beverages can be purchased with a credit card at the Kanuga food and beverage kiosks located near the race hub. Grab a bite to eat, relax by the bonfire, and enjoy a fun summer evening with fellow runners, family, and friends.

iDream Athletes Foundation
It is the mission, duty and purpose of iDream Athletes Foundation to provide opportunities for Western North Carolina youth and adults who are unable to pay for sporting event fees, coaching, travel expenses and/or equipment to train for and/or participate in our WNC sporting events. This tax-exempt non-profit provides needs-based scholarships. The amounts to be gifted are determined on a case-by-case basis through a criteria-selection process.
