Also known as, WNC’s dirty duathlon because it takes place on private, undisturbed land. The race consists of a 2.5-mile run through grassy fields, single-track trail and forest service roads, a 12-mile off-road bike course, followed by another 2.5-mile trail run; all on the same run/bike courses as in the 2014 season.
Special race features include: congestion-free start area, individual & team registration, bike rentals from Sycamore Cycles, unique & private trails, handcrafted awards, and incredible post-race food and drink! This is the perfect event for multi-sport athletes, trail runners, and mountain bikers alike.
Kids Du 2 offers younger ones the dirty duathlon format racing experience without the danger of adult sized athletes on the course, while learning to enjoy competing in our beautiful mountains! For kids 13 and under we have new single track run and bike courses for kids. (Kids must have mountain bikes for the bike portion of the event.) There will be fun takeaways for kids and food for racers! The courses are very spectator-friendly for friends & family to watch their young ones participate!
