- Start/Finish: Both races start and finish at the Lelia Patterson Center.
- Competitors looking to win overall or in their age group should line up at the front of the starting line as overall winner times are based on gun-time and age group participant times are based on chip-time.
- Have your race number visible on the front!
- It is up to you to know the course and follow the course markings and signs along the route. It will be clearly marked with colored route arrows on the sidewalks and roads, spray paint, tall directional signs and yard signs with arrows. In addition, volunteers, security personnel and police officers will be on the course. Please run facing traffic on the left side of the road. Do not run in the middle of the road.
- IMPORTANT: The course splits (at .5 miles) at Howard Gap & Hutch Mountain Roads. 10k runners will stay STRAIGHT up Howard Gap Road. 5k runners will turn RIGHT on Hutch Mountain Road.
- There are two water stations on the course. The first will be on Hutch Mountain Road and will be utilized by both the 5k and 10k runners (2x). The other water station is on the 10k course at approximately mile 2 1/2.
- To switch from the 10k to the 5k or vice versa please email support@idaph.net in advance or stop by packet pickup prior to the start of the race.
