iDREAM ATHLETES FOUNDATION

It is the mission, duty and purpose of iDream Athletes Foundation to provide health and wellness opportunities for all abilities and levels of Western North Carolina youth and adults to train together (swim, bike, run) in a welcoming, professionally led and community setting.

We provide scholarships for those who are unable to pay for race fees, coaching, travel expenses and/or equipment to train for and/or participate in running, biking and multi-sport events. We also financially support the development of youth, adults, clubs and teams  in: running, cycling, swimming and multi-sport.  iDream Athletes Foundation is a tax-exempt, 501c3 non-profit.

WHY IT MATTERS

iDream Foundation is now a USAT club –  this means our club activities are insured through USAT and follow their standards and SAFEsport.!

COMING SOON: Summer Swim League! Every Saturday morning from June 3rd to July 29th, participants will be able to enjoy coached instruction from 8:30am-9:30am. CLICK HERE for more information!

Entering and staying in the sport of cycling, running, swimming and multi-sport can be costly and intimidating. How do you start? What support is there for this personal development in WNC? Removing the cost barrier for youth and adults who are interested in training for or participating in a running, cycling or multi-sport event is key to growing our WNC sports community. Also, providing community based training and coached activities to foster the development of youth and adults in our community is key in the health and wellness of our community as a whole.

With iDream Athletes Foundation professional leaders in our community and coaches provide an approachable and comfortable setting for youth and adults to gain exposure, experience and training in either running, cycling, swimming and multi-sport. This allows us to support and spur-on healthy, active lifestyles in our community members.

Some examples of how iDream is making a difference through our scholarship program: Throughout the past few years we have assisted with paying for bike repairs after cycling crashes and accidents, travel fees for world champion qualifying athletes from our community, providing funds to cover race entry fees for youth and adults, purchase new running shoes and equipment,  paid for underprivileged youth swimming lessons, coaching fees and much, much more!

What is coming up next?!!

In 2023, the Asheville Swim League will return, triathlon and running specific clinics will take place, and a Tri Local Community will be launched. We will financially support multiple cross country and cycling youth teams and clubs in our community. We will provide scholarships to youth and adults in our community and to local youth through community organizations to introduce underprivileged to the sport of running. We will financially contribute and support local coaches and community happenings that develop cycling, running, swimming and multisport. We will donate and support the underpriviled swim program through the YMCA of WNC. We will pay for pool and location fees, plus coaches to host the above activities.

By making a monetary contribution to iDream Athletes Foundation, you help make an opportunity possible for WNC residents to enjoy the experience of a sporting event or activity, whether it be participating in the Asheville Swim League, a running, cycling or multi-sport clinic.

Join us in helping our western North Carolina youth and adults by making a tax-deductible contribution today. Donations can be accepted during registration by following the ‘idream athletes foundation’ tab during registration on Race Roster.

Every iDaph ‘owned’ event gives a financial donation to iDream Atheletes Foundation. These funds flow right back into our community by supporting local athletes, wannabe athletes, scholarships, trainings, clubs, youth and more through the iDream Athletes Foundation.

Help fund the dreams of health conscious youth, adults and parents by donating when you register for any iDaph event.

2023 Scholarship Reicepents

“It’s not only opened avenues for personal development and growth for myself but also opportunities to help others on their journeys as well. It’s given me the chance to be a light in the community. Thanks to the team at iDaph and iDream for sponsoring me as an athlete I now have the gift to continue racing and training! This also helps me to spread the love for the sport and testimony from childhood trauma to living a life of LIGHT and love. Joy after trauma is possible with therapy and running! And I’m on a mission to spread the joy of running and how it can help teach you how to move forward.”

“The swim league was really helpful to me.  I had back surgery a few weeks after the swim league and my doctors said my muscles around my back were very toned and that has helped me recover quickly.”
