RAD for a Cause: Running to Empower Fitness & Community
This year, the RAD Half Marathon & 10K is hoping to inspire movement beyond the finish line. Through our partnership with Open Hearts Art Center, we want to come alongside their efforts to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to experience the joy of movement, the pride of accomplishment, and the love of community.
Together, we’re supporting their incredible partnership with BLOOM Fitness, which provides inclusive, empowering fitness opportunities for adults with IDD.
Why This Matters
Open Hearts Art Center is dedicated to celebrating and empowering adults with varied abilities through the arts—and now, through fitness. Their collaboration with BLOOM Fitness creates safe, supportive spaces where individuals with IDD can thrive.
BLOOM’s fitness classes are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the IDD community, offering encouragement, camaraderie, and fun. It’s not just about physical health; it’s about fostering confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging.
Every participant leaves a BLOOM class feeling stronger, more empowered, and more connected to their community. That’s the kind of impact we’re proud to support.
Your Race. Their Future.
When you run the RAD Half Marathon or 10K this year, you’re doing more than challenging yourself—you’re helping change lives.💙 Your donation will go toward renewing the partnership between Open Hearts Art Center and BLOOM Fitness. Your support will ensure that individuals with IDD can continue to benefit from fitness classes that improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
How You Can Help
1. Donate. Every dollar makes a difference. Help us reach our goal to fund another year of BLOOM Fitness classes for the Open Hearts community.
2. Spread the Word. Share this effort with your friends and family—let’s build a movement that supports their access to health and wellness.
Fitness is for everyone, and together, we can ensure that adults with IDD have access to the empowerment, pride, and community that comes with it. Let’s run for connection, belonging, and a stronger community.
