Part-Time - Hybrid: Junior Graphic Designer & Social Media Support Assistant

Position Overview:
We're looking for a detail-obsessed, self-motivated Junior Graphic Designer & Social Media Support Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role combines graphic design, social media content creator with on-the-ground event support and creative input for merchandise and display concepts. You’ll design branded materials, help organize and style our merchandise tent at events, capture race moments through race photography, and contribute to the visual presentation of our brand.
This is a hands-on, flexible role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and takes pride in polished, professional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design event and marketing materials (logos, posters, postcards, shirts, banners, signage, social graphics)
- Format and order print-ready materials; communicate with vendors to ensure accuracy and delivery
- Brainstorm and assist with creative ideas for merchandise and display presentation
- Assist with set up of the merchandise tent and displays at events
- Support email newsletter content creation and formatting in Mailchimp
- Social media content creation and scheduling posts across various event pages
Required Availability:
- Must be available to work weekends during events.
- Flexible weekday hours (10–15 hours/week average), with increased hours leading up to events
- Remote-based with in-person commitments in Western NC

- A self-starter who takes initiative and meets deadlines
- Takes creative direction well and follows through with precision
- Energized by both independent work and team collaboration
- Enjoys contributing to visual branding and seeing their work live at events
- Enjoys being part of local events, races, and actively representing our brand in the community
- Has previously attended or participated in iDaph Events and understands the race-day experience firsthand
- Comfortable with self-directed task management, administrative responsibilities, and creating their own workflow
Preferred Experience & Education :
- A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or Marketing
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign)
- Experience with print formatting and file setup
- Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform
- Comfortable with Canva, Slack (team communication) and Monday.com (task management)
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and Vista Social (or similar scheduling tools)
Compensation & Details:
- Part-time: 10–20 hours/week
- Independent Contractor or Employee Classification
- Pay: Based on experience
- Start Date: ASAP
